Your Partner from Puberty through Menopause

Empowered Puberty

The Empowered Puberty Program is a neurodiversity-affirming, sensory-informed occupational therapy (OT) initiative designed to support tweens navigating the physical, emotional, and social transitions of puberty.

Tailored for youth with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and/or physical disabilities, the program integrates developmental science, social-emotional learning, and embodied practices to promote autonomy, regulation, and identity formation.

Support for the Flipside of Menopause: Puberty

Puberty can be a confusing and overwhelming time for any young person—but for neurodivergent or physically disabled youth, it can bring added stress, sensory challenges, and social complexity. Our Empowered Puberty OT program offers a fun, inclusive, and therapeutic space for girls and gender-expansive youth to build body awareness, self-esteem, and essential life skills.

Program Highlights

  • 6-week small group series (3–4 participants)
  • 1:1 or 2:1 OT for personalized support

What We Cover

Each week, we explore key puberty topics through sensory-friendly, hands-on activities:

  1. Body Basics — Learn body part names, boundaries, and emotional regulation tools
  2. Puberty Changes & Hygiene — Practice ADLs like deodorant, menstrual care, and private vs. public rules
  3. Emotions & Hormones — Understand mood swings, interoception, and calming strategies
  4. Friendships & Crushes — Explore social cues, scripts, and safe relationships
  5. Private Touch, Privacy & Consent: Self-regulation, values, safety, anatomical dolls, "OK/Not OK" sorting, privacy games
  6. Media & Identity — Strengthen self-image and explore "Who am I becoming?"

Designed for Engagement

This isn’t a classroom. Kids learn best when they feel safe, seen, and are having fun. Our program uses:

  • Boba tea hangouts, spa day self-care, clay sculpting, and art projects
  • Movement breaks and sensory tools
  • Neurodiversity-affirming, inclusive language

Why OT?

Occupational therapy supports daily living skills, self-regulation, identity development, and body autonomy—essential building blocks for tweens during puberty. This program is developed by an experienced pediatric OT with advanced training in Women’s Health and Menopause, bridging the  developmental spectrum with empathy and expertise.
